Attack on America

A world now covered
In ash and debris
The work
Of an unknown enemy

The world now in
A state of shock
As the hours pass
Upon the clock

How could this happen,
In an advanced society?
Tying to grasp
How this could be

All looking
To place the blame
Of why the world
Will never be the same

Lifeless bodies
In the debris do lie
Killed by a faceless enemy
From the bright blue sky

A world of love
Unites to pray
For all the victims
On their passing day

A could of sadness
This act did cast
The sort of sadness
Which will forever last

A world now left
To mourn and grieve
For these acts
They can’t conceive

In our hearts
The fires burn
From this
What lesson can be learned?
