It Shall Pass By You

"I am in a hurry" you say
As you rush through your day
On the tip of your nose
Falls a cheery flake of snow
You continue on as if you didn’t know
A young squirrel crosses your path
You warn it to move or suffer your wrath
You find a flower in your hair
You rip it out as if you didn’t care
You are offered a smile on your way
You ignore it
You’re in a hurry today
Tomorrow will it be the same?
Will you ignore it all,
And call life plain?
Oh, sir, I caution you
Pass by life
It shall pass by you
