Morocco May 2000

I went to Morocco in May on a conference with my company.
We started off in Marrakesh. Above is the big market in
central Marrakesh.

Outside a local pharmacy(see above left), which had
natural medicin to cure almost everything. All the
medicin was stored in glass jars on shelves along
the wall. Moroccans are very good and have a long
tradition of making carpets, a carpet store
to the right above.

Me, Rickard and Eric were stralling down a street of
Marrakesh when we started talking to some Moroccan
young men. We played Bongo drums with them and
they loved playing the only song we knew:
'Hammarby, Hammarby...'(a cheer song for a local
Stockholm football team). We had a great time. We
also went out with the Moroccan guys later that
evening to a local night club which also was a quite
different experience.

Pretty harsh terrain in the mountains outside Marrakesh.

On the way to the town called the'Port of Sahara' (from
where we were to head off into the Sahara desert).
Before and during the Morocco trip me, Tomas, Patrik
and Sven-Ake prepared a play (see above left)
which we performed later on that night.
The play was very appreciated.

Anna doing her spoon trick once again(see above left). One
gets really thirsty in the desert -> Party, party!

We rode dromedaries out to a tent camp (see
above right) in the Sahara desert. The sky was
clear all day and night and watching the stars later
on that night in the pitch dark desert
was an amazing experience.

Traditional Moroccon music was present all night
at the tent camp. The Moroccans loved playing
their music with us by the camp fires until
late that night. Moroccan music consist of a lot
of different drums. I really the Moroccan music.
