In these tutorials we asume you have already installed and set up Battlecom Joining a server/session
Before even thinking of joining a session you must know the IP-address to the server.____
If you know a flight using battlecom you have to recive the IP-address from the host.
When looking on the mainscreen you see some buttons at the top.
1. Hit the "Join Session" button. The window below pops up.
2. Write in name and the IP/Server address.
3. Hit the Connect button. (It take some time to connect, wait at least 20sec.)
4. When connection is esablished BC will switch to Session mode automaticlly.As you see there is an Advanced button on the top. Under Advanced you are
able to switch between TCP/IP and IPX protocol. If you are running BC over a
local network you must switch to IPX/SPX before you connect.When you want to leave the session simply click the same button as before but its
now named "Leave session" or "Stop session".
Creating your own Server/Session
If you want to start your own BC server follow these steps:1. Hit the "Host Session" button on the mainscreen.
2. A Wizard will start and it will tell you how to do.
3. Protocol should be TCP/IP over the Internet and IPX when using over LAN.
4. The IP-address will be shown in the address text box. Dont change this number.
__This number is the one you should give out to your friends that you want to join
__your server.
5. Next step is a little more advanced. Choose what compression type you want.
__"Delta" is default and this is the one you should use to your regular internet games.
__When use over LAN you may change all way up to CD-quality if you need =).
6. Mikeclicks on or off?. You should choose mikeclicks allowed since cause people
__maybe want to use them. If you dont want mikeclicks just switch it of on YOUR BC.
__If you choose Mikeclicks not allowed noone on the server will be able to use them.
7. Last step is password on the server. Its good if you have people comming in just
__to mess up your game.
__Now, if you want to shutdown the server just hit "Quit Session" and all players will
__be ejected automaticlly.
