Not just beaches

Waaay back in '96 my father turned 50, so we went on a trip through Thailand and Malaysia.

We took a flight to London, from there to Bangkok where we stayed a couple of days, then on to Phuket. Thank god we lived on a little beach far away from all the big hotels. Anyway, after a few days there, eating bananas full of insects and hiring waterscooters we took a boat to Phi Phi Island, or Ko Phi Phi as they called it. From there another boat to Krabi. I don't remember exactly, but eventually we ended up in northern Malaysia, after going in a bus were we learned that Asians, too, drink. The next stop was Kuala Lumpur, capital of Malaysia.

On the way home we had a couple of hours in London aswell.
