The "small" country in South America that is the double size of France. The capital La Paz is on a altitude of 3600 metres over sea level. You can feel that very well, the first time I visit this country I almost fainted at the immigration control because of the thin air. But now I'm used to it and adapts very quick.

When I have been in Bolivia I have been very lucky and had the chance to travel around almost the whole country.

This is the way I reached the city of Yacuiba that is on the border to Argentina. I rented this airplane in Santa Cruz and went south, after a few hours we landed on a grass field.

To reach the villages of Huanuni and Llallagua you need this type of transportation...

Itīs an adventure to go by car through the mountains. The last time I went to those two villages the farmers were on strike. Then they tried to stop us with an explosion 5 - 10 metres in front of the car and by throwing stone on our car.
