I was in Russia for one week in 1997 in August, the reason I went there were that I was going to baby-sit our system during the press-conference and see that nothing that shouldn't happen happens. When I arrived in Moscow I was picked up and taken to the train station were we took the train to Nizhny Novgorod. We checked in at a hotel there and the next day we continued to Vad and Medin or something like that, I don't remember how to spell that. Anyway it's two small villages and after a little job we were ready to welcome the minister of communications the next day. We had no problems at the press-conference, the biggest problem I had was to keep away from the TV-cameras. I almost succeded with that task.
After the guys from Moscow had visit the two villages we went to a lake were they had put up three long tables and then it was time to eat, drink and have fun ! I must admit that they can drink in Russia, after every speech you have to take a shot of vodka and say "Nastrovia", I hope you spell it like that. Anyway it's "Cheers" and I must say that I have never heard so many speech in one evening.

On the way home to Sweden I stayed one night in Moscow and one girl from Ericsson guided me around to the red square and all those famous places in Moscow. We finished the day in the huge CD-market they have there in Moscow. I haven't tried the nightlife in Moscow, but I heard from some friends at work that the nightlife is a little expensive but good. I think Russia is a very though country to go to, it doesn't belong to my favourite countries. But then I didn't have so much private time, it was work, work and work.
