Special Agent Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) is one of a two person team charged with investigating the FBI's X-Files. Mulder, who does not like his name, became obsessed with finding the truth about the paranormal and aliens in particular, after the abduction of his sister Samantha Mulder when he was just a child. Mulder is a fan of sunflower seeds and does not like to be called "Spooky". His father, Bill Mulder, was murdered by members of the shadow government after he discovered that his father was responsible for some of the government coverup about extraterrestrials. After nearly being killed by Cancerman, Mulder has regained his position at the FBI and continues to search for the Truth.
