The Parthenon

The Godess worshiped in the Parthenon was Athena Pathenos. Inside the temple there was a huge statue of Athena made by the famous Phidias. Nothing of that statue remains today.

Parthenon is an excellenent performance in architeture and perhaps the most famous building on the acropolis.
The Parthenon was built in 447-432 BC
