1.
Always
use mouselook (+mlook in the console)
or
you're toast both on the internet or in Singleplayer
games.
2.
If
you got a three button mouse use the middle button
for
stafeing (sidestep).
3.
Learn
all secrets and weapons locations in the levels
you're
playing "before" you play them on the net,
it's
a lot easier that way, insted of just running around
with
the blaster, learn where the RL, Hyper,Rail or BFG are.
4.
Log
into a fast server where you have a low "PING" rate
(Ping is the time it takes
for your computer to talk to the server
ex. PING 28 = it takes 28
milliseconds to transfer, over 1000
it's hard to play because
the shots shoot loose after a second)
5.
Always
move, and watch your back if you're running from
a guy
with RL run backwards and prepare to sidestep
(same
with rail. BFGs, don't think just RUN!)
6.
Croutch
in in a corner where its dark if you got a good
weapon
and are low in health.
When
you are good in health jump alot
(around
corners and so)
Singleplayer

The
1st, 2nd and 3rd rules are the same.
4.
Run
back and towards, simultaineusly the stroggs will when
you
come close initiate their "man to man" weapon
(ripping
claw or punch mostly) now remember
DO
NOT DO THIS WITH TANKS unless you're invulnerable,
they
come in there and crush you, sidestep their rockets
and
jump over their "Sweeping" machinegun shots.
