| Flasktext:
Brewed using only the choicest scottish malted barley Fuggles
and Goldings hop flowers water and yeast. A beer such as this is affectionately known as a "Wee Heavy" and has been brewed at The Caledonian Brewery since 1869. The malt infusion and hop flowers are boiled by direct flame in open coppers - the last of their type still in use in Britain, which impart great mellowness and character to the beer. There then follows a lenghty fermentation and conditioning in the cool cellars until the head brewer judges the beer to be ready for bottling. This is one of Scotland's classic beers and is perfect for sipping or as an accompaniment to beef or game casseroles, and with mature cheese. | ||
