The purpose of 3dfx Programming Secrets
This site is dedicated to all of you 3dfx programming phreaks out there, I have messed around the www for
weeks and I could only find one good resource for us who wants to take advantage of the 3dfx chipsets -
voodoo and voodoo2. That site is The Black Art of 3dfx Programming but unfortunately the author doesn't seam to have
much time to update it. But here it is - 3dfx Programming Secrets.
As this site is completely managed by myself your contribution is very important, please send in
source code, programming tips or anything else you can think of that relates to glide/3dfx/3d programming.
If you have any www links/newsgroups/mailinglists of interest send them in to!
This site is intended to be a GOOD resource for 3d graphics programmers and your help is highly appreciated.
How many of you haven't seen a lot of programming manuals written in a very detailed (BUT BORING) way, this
site is trying to explane 3d programming (focused on 3dfx) in a easy and funny way, not concentrating only
on pure facts but what you actually can do with this silicon thing in there in the black box!
Some of the things I will take a look at is Phong Shading and Bump Mapping, two new exciting technologies which
can be quite easily accomplished with the Voodoo2 chipset.
I hope this site will be useful for us 3d graphics phreaks and that it will live up to my expectations, that it will
be a place that contains useful articles and that it will be FUN at the same time. It's up to you visitors to
decide and if you have any good suggestions on how to improve this site or just wanna tell me what you
think of this site then feel free to contact me, I shall try to respond to all messages.
