leek, with added playability features, the Steelhead X-14 Irons are an excellent option for players of any skill level - from high handicappers to tour professionals. Better players will appreciate the versatility and playability of these irons, while recreational players will experience the forgiveness for which Callaway Golf is famous. This technology allows us to cast the Steelhead X-14 Irons with less material in the face area, giving our designers the ability to move more free weight to other areas of the clubhead - which optimizes perimeter weighting and forgiveness. In the long irons, this extra weight was placed in the sole of the clubhead to create a lower center of gravity for greater ease in getting the ball airborne. In the short irons and wedges, the weight was shifted slightly higher to provide increased control and additional backspin for precise approach shots. The Steelhead X-14 Irons have a polished, soft satin finish with a sandblasted face which aids in alignment. And a new, weighted medallion covers the entire cavity area, enabling us to tighten weight tolerances in each clubhead.
